Silicone-compatible EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is a specialized EPDM rubber formulation designed for applications where contact with silicone materials is required. It is engineered to maintain performance when exposed to silicone-based fluids, lubricants, sealants, or structural silicone components.

Unlike standard EPDM grades, silicone-compatible EPDM is typically cured using a peroxide vulcanization process. This curing method improves compatibility with silicone materials by reducing the risk of chemical interaction, adhesion loss, surface staining, or degradation during long-term contact.

Due to these properties, silicone-compatible EPDM is particularly suitable for glazing, façade, curtain wall, window, and sealing applications where EPDM components must interface directly with structural or liquid silicone systems.
